1931

- Church Organized
- Name "Pentecostal" adopted
- First pastor called- Rev. G. W. Mitchell
- First service held in Women's Building (South Texas) 8300 Colonial Ln.

- First piano purchased

1932 - First property purchased-Redbud @ Gladstone-building plans begun
1939 - Rev. G. W. Mitchell passed (March)
- Rev. T. C. Price called to pastorage
- Early 40's first edifice erected @ 8001 Gladstone
1944 - Rev. T. C. Price resigned
1945 - Rev. B. W. McWashington called to pastorage
- Under his leadership. . .Edifice remodeled
1948 - Rev. McWashington resigned
- (May) Rev. W. H. Burks called to pastorage.
1949 - (May 1st) First cornerstone laid
1955 - (Christian Union (a beneficiary insurance)
1960 - (November 27) entered present edifice 2nd cornerstone laid. Ministries and Auxiliaries implemented
- Gladstone property purchased & on 11/24/60 Rev. Burks assisted in organizing Sunnyside Baptist, Rev.E. R. Curvey, pastor
1973 - PBC celebrated Mortgage Burning!
1978 - Additional land purchased and improvements made.
1980 - Silver Eagle"Big Red" Bus dedicated 9/14
1982 - Education Day established
1984 - Scholarship Fund organized
1986 - December 31, Rev. Burks became Pastor Emeritus.
1990 - February Rev. W. H. Burks passed
1987 - February-Pastoral Search Committee selected
1987 - July 30 - Rev. Acie J. Jefferson, Jr. called to pastorage; ordination held on September 20, 1987 Under his leadership . . .he implemented and organized several ministries as well as Bible Study, New Members Orientation Class and Salvation Class, additional Sunday School classes
1989 - Additional land , audio, and video equipment purchased.
1990 - 47 passenger bus purchased; office staff added: secretary, administrative assistant & business manager; implemented tape series for church growth; improvements were made in furnishings, building and equipment; land purchased on Southview, Rosemont and McKinley and first church educational annex; food & closet organized; homebound tape ministry; architectural plans drawn and introduced. Church Logo designed ; annual church revival implemented
1991 - Evangelism team organized, several instructional manuals compiled and printed also a church newsletter (VISION) and first PBC cookbook; Hosted the NBCA, Inc. Evangelical Board Tent Revival, 15 passenger van purchased; youth minister added to staff
- Abiding Baptist Church organized at PBC, Rev. B. T. Taylor, pastor
1992 - Christian Education committee organized; First Evangelism conference held; Sick and Shut Ministry; additional land purchased, Christian Softball League Organized *1993 Samaritan ministry  organized; Incarcerated Ministry( Pen Pal Ministry Angel Tree Ministry
1993 - Christian Union beneficiary amount increased from adults $350 to $500.00, children from $175 to $350;Ground Breaking services held (Nov.)
1994 - Additional land purchased; equipment, furniture & fixtures added; improvements made; first Stewardship conference held.
1995 - Two lots purchased on Shelby Circle.
- First Stewardship Conference held.
- First Discipleship Class implemented.
1997 - Staff increased by two ( 1 full , 1 part-time); Construction for new edifice and multi-purpose center underway
1998 - 1 additional full staff added - 1 part-time each year scholarship recipients are awarded continuing education monies.
1998 - February 15th - Temporary relocated to the South Texas District Association Women' Wing ( approx. Location where we first started in 1931)
1999 – May – Entered into new edifice
2000-2002 – purchased: new Office equipment, computers, television monitors, kitchen equipment, implemented: drama ministry, the millennium stewardship campaign, women & girls conference, hospitality ministry and prison ministry.
